Computer Help!

So since I cleaned out my office, I really wanted to move our desktop computer out of the office. I have wanted to make it the computer for the kiddos ever since I got my laptop. I am not entirely excited about the idea of them playing games on my laptop. I know, I know, I'm a little possessive of my laptop but I can't help it. It's probably my favorite piece of technology I own.

Anyway...

The only problem with this is that the desktop no longer has Internet access and my kids love Playhouse Disney Online. Here in lies my problem. I have tried and tried to get my wireless setup to work on my desktop and I have had no luck. I am not very computer knowledgeable but I do know that I have all of the hardware involved to make it work. We had it all working before we got our laptops. I just don't know how to fix it. Does anyone know how to fix this kind of stuff that could give me some advice or a helping hand? It's driving me crazy!

UPDATE: I don't know what I did but I got the Internet to work. I think I re-installed the router software or something and then it asked me if I wanted to add another computer. I said yes and TA DA!!! I consider this a small miracle in our house. Now we just have to make sure we limit computer time to when they have earned the privilege. The timer will be my new friend.

Laundry Update

After complaining about laundry yesterday, my sweet hubby must have felt bad for me so he folded every batch of laundry that I washed. It was so great to be able to wash and dry the clothes and have them "magically" dissapear into their appropriate drawers and closets. One of the few blessings of having him home while trying to find a new job.

And on a little side note... He got a new job!!! Thanks for all of the prayers on behalf of our family at this time. With this tough economy, I know we would not have found a job without all of your prayers.

Ahhhhhh Laundry!

Does anyone else hate doing laundry as much as me? I don't mind washing and drying the laundry at all. That's not a big deal thanks to my trusty washer and dryer. However, I HATE folding the clothes and putting them away. I have always hated folding and putting away clothes. Ask my mom... she used to make me sit on the couch until my clothes were folded and I would sit there all day... and it was only one load! So this is my daunting task for the day. Right now I have 2 loads in the basket, one in the dryer, one in the washer, and 2 more loads to go. Wish me luck!

Working on the Backyard

So this Spring we have really been putting a lot of time and (unfortunately) money into our backyard.

We had to re-do our pool because of an unfortunate unsupervised day of play in the backyard where large quantities of dirt clods were thrown into the pool. We had to drain the pool, and so while we had it drained, we decided to do a little unscheduled maintinance and paint the whole inside of the pool. It is a really good idea if it's not 90 degrees outside and unplanned but my dad and I worked and got it done in a few hours. Now we have a beautiful pool that looks brand new. FUN! Can't wait to jump in when it gets warm.

We also have had a strip of dirt on our side yard for the last 4 1/2 years that we have lived here that has been the eyesore of the yard. It is just so yucky. Every time it rained, we would have MUD that is just no fun to deal with. The boys loved the dirt too but they would be so dirty after throwing it at eachother all day that they would have to strip down to their undies before they could come back into my house. Also... as mentioned above, much of the dirt would end up in my pool. So... we got small river rock delivered last weekend and spread it out in our yard. Goodbye dirt. I will not miss you!!! The kids had a good time riding in the Bobcat while Papa moved the rock into the backyard for us. They also spent the whole next day outside playing in the rock pile as it continued to get smaller and smaller while we spread it out. Thanks Dad, Mom and D-Dawg for coming and helping us out!
