Well, we did it!!! We moved to our new apartment. 
Before the moving day came, we purged a lot of junk. It's surprising how much you can truly live without. It's also surprising how much JUNK you can accumulate when you have room to store it. We now have NO ROOM to store anything and so life has become more simple.

It's small but we are managing. We have to learn how to live with less. Less space is the hardest thing to live without but we make it work.

I agree with you it does make your life simpler when you downsize. We do it all the time when we have to pack our belongings in 2 suitcases for 3 months. It's a good feeling though. Your place looks nice. I love that you're right by the pool.
Yes I understand a lack of space... I have a tiny house and with a little one on the way, it makes it even more apparent.
